Magnus Energy Opens a New Office in Brussels

Consultancy.eu, the platform for consultants and the consulting industry, reports on the arrival of market design & development expert Bob Hebb. He will head our newly formed hub in Brussels.

Magnus Energy Opens a New Office in Brussels

Shortly after joining forces with Ciratum, Magnus Energy continues its growth trajectory with the opening of a new office in the Belgian capital. This is the company’s third office in the Benelux region, following Naarden and Utrecht. The other two European offices are located in Cologne and Vienna.

Managing Director Alexander van der Mark states that the expansion into Brussels is a response to the increasing demand for its expertise. From this new location, the team will be able to collaborate more closely with various clients in the region.

The new office will be led by Bob Hebb, an external hire with 25 years of experience in the energy sector. Hebb has previously worked on multiple projects related to cross-border balancing energy exchanges, such as IGCC, MARI, and PICASSO. He was also closely involved in the development of the European Guideline on Balancing.

Most recently, Hebb worked at Coreso, a Regional Coordination Centre that manages high-voltage power flows for European transmission system operators. There, he led a team of 40 people and was responsible for activities across multiple Capacity Calculation Regions (CCRs), including CORE, SWE, and Italy-North.

“I love innovating and building new things,” says Hebb. “Magnus Energy is a leading player in the energy sector, and its culture aligns perfectly with my approach – ambitious, pragmatic, and open-minded. I’m excited to come on board.”

Van der Mark adds: “Bob has played a key role in many new developments within the European energy sector, many of which Magnus Energy has also supported over the years. We share a lot of common ground, and I look forward to expanding our Brussels office together. Bob is a quick and original thinker who will bring great value to our team.”

Magnus Energy supports companies in all stages of the energy transition. Its key services include business and technology consulting, programme and project management, energy modelling and analytics, and regulatory advisory. The company has around 100 employees and is among the leading consultancies in the energy market.
