New opportunities with Ciratum
With the European energy landscape evolving rapidly, understanding and predicting the impact of the ongoing changes on the European grid is essential for TSOs, NEMOs, regulators and market participants. Over the years, Magnus Energy has developed a deep understanding of the EU energy market and has contributed to the analysis of these implications. The Advisory Consulting branch of Magnus Energy supports organisations in their analysis and studies of the European energy landscape through data analysis, load-flow computations, simulation support, business process analysis, regulation and market design.
Why did Magnus Energy acquire another consulting firm?
The energy sector faces complex challenges, requiring action and change on multiple levels. Magnus Energy wants to support this locally, nationally, and regionally. We aim to address this by offering a full-service consultancy supporting Europe’s energy transition. With the acquisition of Ciratum, we now have over 100 professionals dedicated to creating sustainable, secure, and affordable energy systems.
What kind of company is Ciratum?
Ciratum is a consultancy firm that focuses on business and technology consulting, for the moment primarily in the Netherlands. Its clients include energy suppliers, distribution system operators, and other key players in the energy sector. The projects Ciratum works on range from business strategy and transformation to operational excellence, digital innovation, IT infrastructure, and data communications. The company works on topics like congestion management, system flexibility, and e-mobility. We would love to bring this valuable knowledge and experience to our European clients too.
How does this impact the projects we are currently involved in?
We remain committed to helping our clients address their challenges. In the future, we expect our new colleagues will lend their expertise to our ongoing projects, and vice versa. All depending on the specific skills required. Offering our clients a more diverse range of services, all to overcome the challenges in the energy transition.
